"4 Minutes From Hell" lots of magazines in the Cold War days liked to scare people with phony stories on "secret" accidents that amost blew up the world and here's another one with 4 pages of photos on the Strategic Air Command.
"Are We Losing The War Against Clip Joints?" funny article on a U.S Senate investigation of whether or not organized crime is involved in the night-club business with photos of Al Capone, strippers union spokeswoman, B-girls in police lineup. Apparently there was some concern that the Mafia wasn't providing clean and safe working conditions for its prostitutes.
The only game as old as prostitution is separating suckers from their money and here's a fun article on white collar thieves Ivan Boesky probably read about as a kid: "The Wolves Of Wall Street" with photos of 3 unlucky swindlers in prison and 3 lucky ones in Brazil with their stolen money.
"The Bellboy And The Playgirls" article on low-budget movie with 6 photos, 4 of which include June Wilkinson. Also, large photo of June on inside front cover.
"Farewell Beau Geste" article on the French Foreign Legion closing up shop in Algeria with 2 page illustration and 2 pages of photos including 1 photo from a movie with Ray Milland and Gary Cooper.
This issue has an unusual color centerfold with not 1 but 3 buck naked babes.
Article on hot new comedians Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks with 4 pages of photos including 1 photo with Peter Falk and Don Knotts.
