First issue of a popular girlie magazine that is still being published today. In its first few years it was just another uninspired Playboy clone (notice how even the title logo on the cover is an exact replica of the typeface used on the cover of Playboy magazine in the 1970s) but over time Gallery developed a style of its own. It even occasionally ran articles sympathetic to Vietnam War veterans instead of treating them like psychopaths and baby-killers like Hollywood movies and much of the mainstream news media did in those days.
"Collector's Item" horror story by Rod Serling. Aside from paperback book story adapations of his teleplays from his TV shows The Twilight Zone and Night Gallery, Serling didn't publish much fiction so this story is a bit of a rarity. The editor's page has 1 photo of him and comments on some of his current projects.
"A Stand-Up Jewish Comic Who Wasn't Very Funny Because He Always Told The Truth" article on recently deceased comedian Lenny Bruce.
"Linda" Linda Evans was a tall blonde who was one of Barbara Stanwyck's TV show children on The Big Valley and later played John Forsythe's wife on the evening soap-opera Dynasty. She was married to 1950s pretty boy movie actor and blonde collector John Derek. Derek liked to photograph his wives naked and sell the photos to girlie magazines, so he did the photography for this pictorial like he did for his other blonde wives Ursula Andress and Bo Derek. 8 pages of color photos of Linda.
